Description

18 Picton Place is a three-storey terraced house, dating from the 19th century. The front facade is painted stucco, topped by a slate roof with close eaves, and features a brick chimney on the right end. The building is offset to the right. The second floor has three sash windows with horns, each containing six panes of glass. The lower floors have twelve-pane sash windows; one on the extreme right is aligned with the front door and the window above, while the other is positioned to the left of the centre. Iron flower balconies are present. On the ground floor, a 19th-century shop window is located to the left of the centre, featuring six large panes within a moulded stucco surround. A matching surround frames the doorway on the right. The recessed front door was replaced in 1974, at which time the overlight (transom window above the door) was fitted with tracery. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
