Description
No 9 Deer Park, also known as Glenthorne, is a terraced house featuring a painted stucco facade and a slate roof, with a rendered stack at the right end. This three-storey building has a two-window range and was constructed as a pair with No 8, while the rest of the row consists of two-storey houses. The facade is enhanced by raised pilaster strips and a band beneath the parapet.
It includes a gabled dormer, four-pane sash windows, and a door located to the left, which is accessed by steps with railings designed in a scroll pattern, similar to those found on Frogmore Terrace and Croft Terrace. The square-headed doorways are framed by stucco doorcases that feature pilasters and cornices on console brackets. The door is a 20th-century addition with an overlight.
There is a dwarf forecourt wall with railings topped by fleur-de-lys finials. The rear wall is painted slate-hung and features a parapet and dormer. The upper floor has two four-pane sashes, while the first floor has a tripartite sash, and there is a 20th-century addition at the ground floor.
