Description
No 10 Deer Park, also known as Croyland, is a terraced house that is part of a row of five painted stuccoed houses, all featuring slate roofs and chimneys on the right. The house has two storeys, a basement, and an attic, and is two bays wide. Each facade is framed by raised pilaster strips on either side, with a raised band above the basement and a raised plain parapet. There is one pedimental gabled dormer on the house, which has a pediment supported by brackets over a pair of windows. Originally, the house featured four-pane sash windows, but No 10 has an altered upper left window.
Steps, which are flanked by scroll-designed railings, lead up to square-headed doorways. These doorways are adorned with stucco doorcases that have cornices on console brackets. The doors are two-panel designs with overlights above. The forecourts originally had iron railings on dwarf walls, and No 10 features railings topped with fleur-de-lys finials.
