Description
2 Pier Hill is a house featuring white painted roughcast and a slate close-eaved roof. The facade curves to the right and connects continuously with the adjoining house, No 1. There is a rendered stack on the left and a stuccoed stack on the right, which is positioned forward of the ridge on the party wall with No 1. The front has two late 20th-century 16-pane sash windows above, with thin sills, and two 20th-century 4-pane sash windows below that are not aligned; one is centrally located and the other is to the right in what was a former doorway. At the rear, facing Castle Square, the house is single-storey with a parapet that steps up from the rear of No 3 to the right, and its roof is slightly lower than that of No 3. There is a rendered stack at the right end, along with a 20th-century door leading to The Cottage, 2 Pier Hill, and a 20th-century window.
