Description
The Tower Chapel is a round tower constructed from rubble stone, topped with a low-pitched, close-eaved conical roof made of tarred slates. It consists of a basement and ground floor, although the basement is no longer accessible. The south door is set back in a deep splayed reveal and is accessed by six steep steps, with the wall thickness measuring 10 centimeters. The door features a triangular head made of red bricks with a stone keystone, and it is a narrow, triangular-headed plank door with cover strips.
On the north side, there is a large triangular-headed window that includes horizontally-sliding eight-pane casements and a glazed triangular head, which also has a similar red brick head and stone keystone. There are straight joints visible from a blocked lower opening located below and to the left of the window.
Inside, the circular room is whitewashed and has a shallow domed ceiling, with a slight arch that breaks into the dome over the altar. There is a cupboard on the west wall, which is fitted with wrought-iron hinges.
