Description
The One-Arch Bridge is a Grade II listed structure featuring five sections divided by roughly-formed stepped pilasters. The outer sections are supported by land-arches, while the second and fourth sections appear solid from the foundation upwards. The central section is the stream arch, which consists of a single limestone arch with a span of approximately 12.5 meters and a deep segmental shape. The parapets of the bridge have been rebuilt. In plan, the central section has parallel parapets that are about 6 meters apart, while the other sections extend the parapets into widely splayed wings.
