Description

Later C18 single limekiln on the N side of the road from Brownslade to Frainslake, built against higher ground. 7 m x 5 m, in rubble masonry. Sides of kiln slightly battered. Opposed drawholes at W and E, with timber lintels. Plain front to S. Pot about 3 m diameter with brick lining surviving to top. Small quarry at E.

Listed as a well-preserved specimen and for its group value with Brownslade Farm.
