Description

The Old Pound is a circular pound for stray cattle, built in 1780 and restored in 1972 by Pembroke Rural District Council. It features uncoursed rubble masonry walls that stand 1.8 meters high, topped with rubble coping. The structure has an approximate diameter of 13 meters. The interior is now designed as a public garden, complete with paths, shrubs, and seating areas, and includes a wooden gate. This is a fine example of its type, located in an area known for its cattle farming.
