Description

Harbour Court is a block of flats constructed from grey limestone, featuring dressings in red and yellow brick, along with some red terracotta. The building has an imitation slate close-eaved roof and no chimneys. It stands four storeys tall and has a three-window range of paired plate-glass sashes. The upper floors have renewed cement sills supported by small terracotta corbels, with similar corbels located under the gutter. The windows are framed in red brick surrounds, adorned with bi-colour brick heads, and feature a three-brick red band at sill level and a three-brick red and yellow band at impost level, with variations in detail across each floor.

The ground floor includes a plinth with terracotta chamfered capping that steps down to follow the slope. The windows here have flush stone sills, chamfered jambs with terracotta caps, and arched bi-colour heads. The impost band consists of a yellow brick course between two red bricks. The first floor showcases ovolo-moulded jambs, terracotta caps, and stilted cambered heads, with a flush red brick hood over the bi-colour voussoirs. The impost band features red and yellow stretchers alternately in the middle course. The second floor has segmental pointed heads with a red brick flush hood over bi-colour voussoirs, and the jambs are plain. The impost band here consists of yellow brick headers between red brick stretchers in the middle course. The top floor has plain cambered bi-colour heads, and the impost course has yellow brick stretchers between red brick headers in the middle course.

The left end wall is rendered, while the rear of the building was remodelled in the later 20th century, featuring a large external stair addition. The property has not been inspected.
