Description
Bridge House is a house dating from the 18th century, featuring painted stucco that is lined to resemble ashlar, with a slate roof concealed behind a parapet and a red brick stack at the right end. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground floor is notably low, with a raised band at the level of the doorhead. On the upper floors, there are two 2-storey canted bay windows, each fitted with 2-4-2-pane horned sash windows. The ground floor includes a sash window with eight long panes on the left and a half-glazed door on the right. The right side wall is rendered and has a band at the first floor level, along with an original arched main door to the right. The stucco doorcase, which previously featured Ionic pilasters and a triangular pediment as noted in 1977, has been replaced with a timber doorcase that includes thin columns, Ionic-type capitals, and an open pediment. Inside, there are panelled reveals, a 6-panel 20th-century door, and a fanlight adorned with applied lead tracery. The property has not been inspected.
