Description

The high retaining wall on Bridge Street is constructed of grey limestone rubble and features a parapet wall at the street, which is capped with rough tooled stone. There are various openings that lead into brick-vaulted cellars beneath the roadway. To the left, there is a door that provides access to the cellar of St Julian's House. Further along, a lean-to shelter from the 20th century is attached to the steps leading up to the door of the cellar of Pier House. Opposite Sparta House, there are two blocked square lights with brick heads. Additionally, there is a door with a red brick arch located opposite the house that was formerly owned by Charles Norris.
