Description
The north gates to Saint Issell's churchyard are a pair of wrought iron gates featuring cast iron finials. They are flanked by square stone gate piers that have simple square moulding and shallow pyramidal copings. Each gate is designed with hinges that have a square section and elaborate cast iron finials, along with a rectangular section meeting style. The gates consist of three horizontal rails of rectangular section, which are pierced by round uprights. These uprights end in ornate spear-head finials, adorned with scrolled cresting. The shorter uprights beneath the lock-bar finish with barbed finials.
