Description

The principal entrance gates to Saint Issell's Churchyard are a pair of wrought iron gates featuring cast iron finials. They are flanked by square stone gate piers that have simple square moulding and shallow pyramidal copings. Each gate is designed with hinges of square section and elaborate cast iron finials. The gates themselves are made of rectangular sections pierced by round uprights, which end in ornate spear-head finials adorned with scrolled cresting. The shorter uprights beneath the lock-bar finish with bared finials.
