Description

The rear gates to Saint Issell's Churchyard are a pair of wrought iron gates featuring cast-iron finials. They are flanked by square stone gate piers that have simple square moulding and shallow pyramidal copings. Each gate is designed with a hinge style of square section, adorned with elaborate cast iron finials, and a rectangular section that is pierced by round uprights. The uprights end in ornate spear-head finials, complemented by scrolled cresting. The shorter uprights below the lock-bar also terminate in bared finials.
