Description

The Preaching Cross at St. Issell's Church is a medieval structure made of sandstone, standing about 1.5 meters tall. It features a worn shaft with arms, which rests on a socket-stone and plinth. The cross is set on a base made of three roughly-constructed steps. Both the shaft and the arms have an octagonal shape, and at the base of the octagonal section, there are broach-stops. The lower part of the shaft is square.
