Description
Capel Bedyddwyr Elim, also known as Elim Baptist Chapel, is a small chapel built in the mid-19th century, specifically said to have been constructed in 1843. The chapel features unpainted cement render and a grouted slate roof. It has two long arched windows on each side and a formal west gable front that includes two long arched windows, a small central arched light, and an arched central doorway. All these openings have moulded heads supported by acanthus brackets. The windows are designed with a central timber mullion and Y-tracery heads. The entrance consists of plank double doors beneath a Y-tracery fanlight with glazing bars.
Inside, the chapel has a west gallery supported by two bulbous broad columns, with a panelled gallery front. The panelled pulpit is located against the east wall, featuring a round-headed blank plaque within a moulded plaster architrave that has a pediment. The chapel occupies a prominent location in the village.
