Description

This is an early 19th-century circular lime kiln constructed from rubble stone. It features two tall opposed kiln-eyes and a circular opening at the top leading to the crucible. The kiln-eyes are characteristic of the Dewisland type, having short straight sides and long tapering triangular heads. There are rubble embanking walls on each side of the kiln.
