Description
Tan-Yr-Allt is a substantial villa built in the mid-19th century, featuring a square plan and a low-pitched hipped slate roof with eaves. The exterior is made of squared rubble stone, accented by a grey stone band above the basement. The building has black 20th-century brick stacks at each end and paired square brackets at the eaves.
The front facade is two stories high and has three windows, which are large sashes with marginal glazing bars, slate sills, and painted brick flush frames. The lower sashes are larger than the upper ones. In the center, there is a four-panel door with a traceried fanlight, set deep within a raised painted brick arched surround.
On the east end, there is a basement opening to the left and a central arch-headed door. The west end features one window on each floor, along with a basement door.
