Description

Pont Blaen is a road bridge constructed from squared rubble stone, featuring a single shallow arch with flush cut-stone voussoirs. The bridge has rubble parapets on either side, each topped with flat coping and a raised central block that includes a string course beneath an ashlar top coping. The outer faces of the raised sections display a coat of arms made of Bath stone ashlar, which belongs to Thomas Johnes, and is adorned with a chevron and three birds, along with festoons on each side.
