Description
Cwrt Bach is a farmhouse with an attached outbuilding, constructed from rubble stone and featuring a close-eaved slate roof with stone end stacks. The farmhouse is two stories tall and has a double-fronted design. The upper floor has 9-pane sash windows located under the eaves, while the ground floor features longer 12-pane sash windows with cambered heads and stone voussoirs, all equipped with slate sills. The right end wall is also made of rubble stone and includes an end-entry doorway in the rear outshut, which has a plain board door. There is a single 4-pane casement window in the low rear wall of the outshut.
Attached to the left end of the farmhouse is a single-storey outbuilding. The first two bays of this outbuilding have a slate roof and are built from rubble stone, while the right bay, which is between the outbuilding and the farmhouse, appears to be a later addition constructed from brick with a corrugated iron roof. This brick bay has a doorway on the left and a garage door on the right. The stone section of the outbuilding has doorways at either end and two small windows towards the center. The interior of the stone pine end nearest the brick bay reveals a section of a former chimney.
Inside the farmhouse, there are two rooms separated by a simple boarded partition. The main room has flagged flooring and exposed pine beams. A narrow boarded stair rises beside a bricked inglenook to reach two similarly sized rooms, which are also separated by a boarded partition.
