Description
Olwen Farmhouse is an early to mid 19th century farmhouse, likely built on an earlier core. It features rubble stone construction with a slate eaves roof and stone stacks at the end walls. The building is two stories high and has a three-window front, showcasing 4-pane wide sashes with painted brick cambered heads. The upper windows have 12 panes, while the lower ones have 16 panes. The center of the facade includes a ledged door with lozenge-patterned glazing in the overlight. There is a roughcast brick lean-to porch added to the front and a brick lean-to at the end wall.
At the rear, there is a low two-story outshut that extends beyond the north end wall, leading to a large rubble stone corner stack. The rear features a ledged door with a pair of casement windows closely above it, a pair of casement windows on the ground floor to the left, and a 12-pane sash window to the right, with a 4-pane width and a pair of casement windows closely above. The south end wall is rendered.
