Description
Owlcotes Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century, is constructed of rubble sandstone with sandstone dressings. It features a stone slate and tiled roof, which has stone gable end stacks, a brick ridge stack, and an external stone stack with brick upper parts. The east elevation consists of four bays, with the center bay being deeply recessed and containing a doorway that has a chamfered stone surround and a keystone, leading to a 20th-century door. Above this door is a glazing bar sash window. The projecting gabled wings each have a glazing bar sash window on the first floor. The right-hand bay has a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor, while the left bay features a glazing bar sash window on the first floor. Attached to the south of the farmhouse is a stone garden wall with chamfered copings.
