Description
Sutton Manor is a house built in the late 17th century and early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone with sandstone dressings and features stone slate roofs, including an original stone valley on the garden wing. The house has two brick ridge stacks and a brick gable end stack. It is two storeys high and has a T-plan layout. The south elevation consists of four bays, with a doorway that has a moulded stone surround and a bracketed hood. To the right of the doorway are two glazing bar sash windows, and to the left is one similar window. Above, there are four additional sash windows. The west gable includes a square section stone mullion window. Inside, there are two 17th-century chimney-pieces, one of which has bolection moulding.
