Description

The Church of All Saints is a church built in 1853 by H.I. Stevens and restored between 1882 and 1886 by William Butterfield. It is constructed of coursed squared rock-faced sandstone with sandstone dressings and features Welsh slate roofs with stone-coped gables. The church includes a west steeple, a nave with a south porch, and a chancel with a north vestry.

The three-stage west tower has angle buttresses on the west side and a southwest stair turret. It features 2-light bell openings on the west, north, and south sides, with the south and west openings incorporating a clock face. The tower is topped with battlements and a spire that has one tier of lucarnes. The windows exhibit decorative style window tracery, with four 2-light windows on the north side of the nave and one 2-light and two 3-light windows on the south side, all adorned with quatrefoils in circles and trefoils over triangles.

The chancel has two 2-light windows on the south and a 4-light east window that features a sexfoil within a circle at the top. The south porch entrance is characterized by shafts and a moulded arch. The buttresses have two set-offs and a string course linking the sills of the windows. Inside the porch, there are two coffin slabs from the 11th or 12th century, one rectangular with incised motifs and the other tapering to the base, featuring a cross and figure.
