South Winds and Sunnycroft

South Winds and Sunnycroft are a pair of houses built in painted roughcast with stucco dressings, featuring a slate eaves roof and stone end stacks. These mirrored two-storey houses each have two windows and closely set doors with windows above. They display stucco angle strips, a sill band, and surrounds with keystones and arched doorways. Number 9 has a very large 20th-century dormer and plate glass sashes, along with the original six-panel door and traceried fanlight, which is set in a rendered hoop-top porch with fretted edging. Number 10 features a 20th-century door and fanlight, but retains the original hornless 12-pane sashes. Both houses have 20th-century roof lights and charming narrow curving basement steps with original curving iron rails.
