Description

South Winds and Sunnycroft are a pair of houses built in painted roughcast with stucco dressings, featuring a slate eaves roof and stone end stacks. These mirrored two-storey houses each have two windows and closely set doors with windows above. They are adorned with stucco angle strips, a sill band, and surrounds with keystones, along with arched doorways. Number 9 has a very large 20th-century dormer and plate glass sashes, an original six-panel door, and a traceried fanlight, all set in a rendered hoop-top porch with fretted edging. Number 10 features a 20th-century door and fanlight, but retains its original hornless 12-pane sashes. Both houses have 20th-century roof lights and charming narrow curving basement steps with original curving iron rails.
