Description
The building is a lodge constructed in the 19th century, featuring colourwashed stucco and a slate pyramid roof with flat boarded eaves. It has a later 19th century yellow brick stack at the apex. The lodge is one and a half storeys tall and has a square plan. Each face of the building includes a central bargeboarded shallow gable, which supports an attic tripartite lunette window. This type of window is also found on the Derry Ormond mansion.
On the north gable, there is a plain pair of casement windows. The ground floor has two triangular-headed windows with stone voussoirs on each front, except for the east side, where the windows are small-paned casement pairs with small-paned triangular top-lights and painted stone or slate sills. The west front features a central door with a matching triangular overlight, along with a later 20th century lean-to porch. The east side has its ground floor obscured by a 20th century single storey addition.
