Description

The Lodge and attached stable block is a house built in the early to mid 19th century, designed in a Tudor style. It is constructed of stucco with tile roofs and stucco stacks, featuring a double-depth plan. The building stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window range, with a lower right return wing.

The exterior includes offset buttresses topped with plain square pinnacles and three gables, with the central gable being stepped and adorned with cross motifs. The coped gables have end stacks with diagonal shafts, and the right end stack is particularly large. The entrance features a four-centred head, splayed reveals, and a label mould, leading to a fielded-panel door with top glazed panels.

Windows throughout the building have splayed reveals and label moulds, with small-paned casements: three-light casements with four-centred heads on the ground floor and similar two-light casements on the first floor. The return wing has a drip course at the ground floor and a top cornice, along with a coped gable. It features a two-light casement on the front and a three-light casement on the return side at the first floor.

At the rear, there are two gabled wings and a 20th-century single-storey flat-roofed addition, which is attached to the 19th-century gabled two-storey stable block.
