Description

The building located at the rear of No 17 Alban Square was formerly used as stables for Nos 16 and 17 Alban Square. It is part of the formal town plan and is one of the few buildings of its kind that has survived relatively unaltered.

This two-storey structure features a whitewashed rubble front and a slate roof. On the first floor, there are three blocked openings and one additional filled-in opening. The ground floor has two recessed boarded doors flanking three openings similar to those above, all of which have voussoir lintels. The end walls have been altered, and a garage extension to the right is not considered to be of special interest.
