Description
Dolgoed is a villa constructed from rubble stone, featuring a deep-eaved slate roof and stone stacks at each end. The building exhibits characteristics of the late Georgian style, including paired brackets at the eaves and open-pedimental gable verges. It has hornless 12-pane sash windows and a centrally located front door. The ground floor right window and the first floor center windows have been replaced with hardwood. All windows are adorned with stone voussoirs and slate sills. The 20th-century door is set within a painted wood square-pillared doorcase that includes a frieze, a modillion cornice, and a slate top, with panelled reveals and a large slate entrance slab. The new front door features an older overlight. The west end has a 12-pane sash window with stone voussoirs on each floor to the right, while the left side has a narrow 8-pane sash window with a stone voussoir on the first floor. The attic contains two very small 4-pane windows with slate lintels. The property has not been viewed.
