Description

Farm building range. Rubble stone with slate roof. Long lofted building with stone steps to loft doors at both gable ends. W end door has stone voussoirs, E end door has brick head. S front to yard has two cart-entries to left with stone voussoirs to arched heads, then an opening with iron lintel under a long loft door, then a window and door with yellow stone voussoirs and further window and door with voussoirs, set slightly higher - above are two loft windows under eaves. Then outside stone steps to loft door and finally a large boarded loft opening Rear wall is mostly windowless: two 16-pane loft windows towards right end and lofted stable at left end with two 16-pane windows each floor and central door. Cut stone voussoirs to ground floor openings, possibly re-used. Slab lintels to first floor windows, and straight joint to right of first floor openings, suggesting a rebuilding of a single-storey range.
