Description
Pont Abercerdinen is a bridge constructed of rubble stone, featuring two arches with a river channel flowing under the eastern arch. The bridge measures approximately 26 meters in total length and 4 meters in width, widening to 5 meters at the approaches. On the southern side, there is a triangular cutwater between the arches, which steps back at the spandrel level and continues upward as a flat pier that extends through the parapet. Below the parapet, there is a string course that is interrupted by a central pier. The parapet is topped with large squared coping stones, one of which on the southern side is dated 1843. The northern side is similar but includes three cutwaters.
Each side of the bridge has a slight outward step before the abutments, which are also splayed outward. Additionally, there is a 20th-century raking buttress added to the southeast abutment.
