Description
Llanwnnen Post Office is a two-storey building with a whitewashed roughcast exterior and a hipped slate roof. The roof features flat eaves and is chamfered at the southeast angle. The main east front has three windows, while the narrow chamfered-off southeast angle and the two-bay south side add to its character. The windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, and the building has a stucco plinth, a band between the floors, and an angle strip on the north end.
The east front includes a flat-roofed porch at the center, which has double half-glazed doors and an overlight, flanked by roughcast piers with stucco caps and plinths. Narrow windows are present in the side walls. Early 20th-century photographs indicate that there was once a slate hipped porch supported by two timber chamfered posts. To the right of the porch is a 12-pane sash window, and to the left is a large square 20-pane shop window. The north end of the building is windowless, while the chamfered southeast angle displays the name "Llanwnen Post Office" in raised letters on the ground floor, with a 12-pane sash window above.
On the south side, there is a roughcast flat porch, which previously had a hipped slate roof, featuring double doors to the right. The center has a similar 20-pane shop window, and to the left, there is a post-box set into an infilled window, with a 12-pane sash window above it. The left angle also has a similar angle strip.
