Description
The Post Office is a three-storey building with a stone ground floor and colourwashed render above, topped with a slate roof featuring flat eaves, coped shouldered gables, and rendered stacks. It has a four-window range with small-paned metal windows throughout. At the attic level, there are four pairs of casement windows under the eaves with stone sills. The first floor features four long, 28-pane curved-headed windows with plain surrounds and stone sills, where the bottom 12 panes open as a casement pair.
The ground floor is distinguished by a fine grey ashlar pilastrade consisting of five broad piers with low plinths and plain moulded caps, with the corner piers being broader. A straight two-step entablature spans the front, displaying bronze letters that read 'Post Office Swyddfa'r Post' and the shadow of a previous date from 1925. The broad small-paned glazing above the ashlar walling is arranged in three bays, with the second bay's walling raised slightly to accommodate a posting box. The glazing bars include a circular design in front of a clock. Additionally, there is a similar small-paned overlight above the altered double doors in the third bay. The northern end of the building features two ground floor windows and one long first floor window.
