Description
The building is a house that has been converted into a post office, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with indications of an earlier origin suggested by the hint of a previous roof line in the north gable end. It is constructed of ironstone rubble with an ashlar front and a squared stone south gable end, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring coped gables and moulded stone end stacks. The building stands three storeys tall, with the upper floors featuring three windows across. The second floor has 3/6 sash windows, while the first floor has 6/6 sash windows, all set within raised and moulded architraves. The ground floor has similar windows, with one to the left and two to the right of a round-headed entrance, which is framed by a more embellished architrave that includes a keystone. The entrance features a part-glazed door and a fanlight with Adam style glazing bars. At the rear, there is a gabled wing made of brick.
