Outbuilding to SW of Castell-du

This is an outbuilding located to the southwest of Castell-du, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high, with the upper loft featuring three tilting 9-pane windows positioned beneath the eaves.

On the ground floor, there is an outside kitchen to the left, which includes a small window with a cambered head, made with stone voussoirs, and a depressed-arched doorway that has a stone head formed from two ashlar pieces and a chamfered surround. This doorway may date back to the early 18th century. The central section of the building has a broad opening with a flattened arch and stone voussoirs. To the right, there is a ledged door and a shuttered 2-light window, both also featuring stone voussoirs. At the right end of the building is the rear wall of a pigsty addition, which is lower and has a slate roof, with a curved northeast angle. There are two sties with slab-lintel doors and rubble-walled yards on the west side.

Inside, the left end of the building has a large fireplace beam that once supported a wicker hood, along with two oak ceiling beams. One of these beams has thin hollow and ogee mouldings on one side, which may date from the 17th century or early 18th century and could be a re-used element. Additionally, there is a copper and a bread oven located in the end wall.
