Description

Pont Ysbyty Ifan is a bridge constructed of rubble, featuring full-height central cutwaters on both the upstream and downstream sides. The bridge has been widened to the south. It has segmental arches of equal size, each measuring approximately 8 meters, with roughly-dressed voussoirs that are slightly recessed below the arch rings made of narrow stones. The long approaches to the bridge are slightly splayed outwards at the ends, and there are slab-coped rubble parapets that rise gently at the apex of the bridge. Additionally, there are triangular refuges over the cutwaters on each side.
