Description

The Railed Lewis Family Memorial at St. Non's Church is a large enclosure located against the south wall of the church. It features tall cast iron railings topped with simple arrow-head finials, along with corner and strengthening posts that have trophy finials. There is a gate on the south side of the enclosure, and the base is made of chamfered ashlar blocks. Inside, there is a slate floor slab that reads: "Here lieth the body of Elizabeth Lewis, the wife of John Lewis and mother of John Lewis Esq, who departed this life April the 20th in the year of our Lord 1767. Aged 84 years." Additionally, there are several plain slate slabs within the enclosure.
