Description
Plas y Creuddyn is a house that was formerly a vicarage, built from rubble stone with a slate roof and two black brick ridge stacks from the 20th century. The building is designed in a minimal Gothic style and has one and a half storeys with four bays. The front is asymmetrical, featuring ground floor openings set in reveals with shallow triangular heads and cut stone voussoirs. To the left of the doorway, there are two 12-pane sash windows, and one to the right. The house has a raised plinth. Above the second and third bays, there are two 9-pane flat-headed sash windows with chamfered stone lintels beneath gables. The doorway is deeply recessed, square-headed, and has an overlight above a 6-panel door. All windows have stone sills.
On the right end wall, there is a similar sash window on each floor to the left, and a narrower 8-pane sash window on the ground floor to the right. The rear northeast wing features an original stone ridge chimney at the junction with the main range, a 12-pane sash window above an 8-pane sash window to the left, and a 12-pane stair light at mid-height to the right. The rear right side has an outshut with a thin black brick chimney and three narrow sash windows. The left end wall has a 12-pane sash window on each floor to the right, a 9-pane sash over a 6-pane sash to the left, and a door at the extreme left, all with triangular heads and stone voussoirs.
Inside, there is a simple dog-leg stair with chamfered and stopped edges leading to a newel with an octagonal finial.
