Description
Lisburne House is a house dating from the 18th century, constructed of whitewashed rubble stone with a steep slate hipped roof. The roof has two large rubble stone stacks, positioned centrally along the ridge and on each roof slope. The house has a basement and two storeys, with a three-window front. The windows are 12-pane hornless sash windows with stone voussoirs above and painted sills. A central door is approached by a flight of slate steps, leading to a board door with an overlight, stone voussoirs, and a wooden shelf hood supported on wrought iron brackets. A basement vent is located to the right of the entrance.
The left side of the house has a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor, and a former shop entrance with a board door set between two square 12-pane windows. This entrance has a timber lintel, stone sills, and slate steps. The right side of the house is windowless and includes a 20th-century lean-to garage.
The rear elevation includes three small 12-pane sashes to the upper floor, a door, and one 12-pane sash below, which are not aligned with each other. The house was not inspected at the time of survey.
