Description

The courtyard at the rear of No 4 Marine Terrace consists of a small group of simple vernacular houses or fisherman's cottages, with No 4 separated by a passage. Nos 4 and 5A are single-storey buildings featuring hipped slate roofs. No 4 has a scribed cement render finish, while No 5A is constructed of colourwashed rubble. No 4 includes a brick chimney stack, and No 5A has a rubble stack. Both houses have small-pane sash windows located to the left of panelled doors and on the right sides. No 6B is a two-storey building with a whitewashed rubble front, a slate roof, and a rubble chimney stack. It also has slate hung on the right side, along with sash and casement windows, and half-glazed and panelled doors.
