Description

Llwyn y Ffynnon is a two-storey, three-window farmhouse dating from the 18th century. It is built of rubble stone, whitewashed to the front, and has a slate roof with stone end stacks. The farmhouse has a central entrance, slightly offset to the right, sheltered by a gabled stone porch with a slate roof. The porch contains a panelled door set beneath a timber lintel. The windows are twelve-pane hornless sash windows with cambered heads, although the window to the right of the porch has a horned sash under a flat lintel. There are no openings in the gable ends, but a lean-to has been added to the west gable, and a small lateral stack is located on the southeast angle, potentially linked to a rear outshut which was not visible during inspection. The interior of the farmhouse was inaccessible at the time of inspection.
