Description
The entrance to the Church of St Dyfrig features an archway made of pecked dressed sandstone. It has a shallow-pointed arched head with hollow mouldings. The spandrels and the walls on either side of the entrance are constructed from rubble stone, although the wall to the right of the entrance has been mainly rebuilt using coursed slate. Above the arch are short spandrels with a shallow triangular profile, topped with slate copings that extend over the flanking walls. Inside the arch, there is a pair of plain 19th-century wrought iron gates, which have spear finials and decorative scrolls on the central posts.
