Description

These railings, likely dating to around 1820, are probably contemporary with the adjacent houses. They are made of cast iron and consist of two tiers of railings, each topped with a finial. No. 38 features leaf finials, while the remaining properties have pierced javelin finials. Each property has a similarly detailed gate, although the gate at No. 41 has been replaced. The railings form an important visual element of the terrace and are a good example of the decorative ironwork characteristic of Salop Road.
