Description
The railway viaduct located southwest of Aberdulas Farm is a skewed structure featuring three bays. It is built with snecked rock-faced shale piers and abutments, supported by iron girders and topped with a brick parapet. The piers have wider bases with pointed cutwaters and are extended on the south side to support an additional track. Similarly, the abutments are extended on the south side, curving outwards and downwards, and feature rock-faced copings, with brick used on the northwest side. The piers are capped with freestone just below the deck. The deck itself consists of girders and narrow brick jack arches. The parapets include shallow terminal and intermediate piers with brick copings, while the terminal piers are topped with coarse concrete saddleback copings.
