Description
The railway viaduct north of Llwyn Einon is a skewed structure featuring three bays. It is built with snecked rock-faced shale piers and abutments, supported by iron girders that hold up the deck, which is topped with a brick parapet. The piers have wider bases with pointed cutwaters and are extended on the south side to support an additional track. The abutments are also extended on the south side, curving outwards and downwards, and are finished with rock-faced copings. The piers are capped with freestone just below the deck. The deck itself is made of girders, and the parapets include shallow terminal and intermediate piers with brick copings, while the terminal piers feature coarse concrete saddleback copings.
