Description
This is a 2-storey cottage and stable range with an adjoining barn that extends forward from the right end. The structure is built of coursed rubble and has a slate roof, with a brick stack at the right end. The central entrance features a boarded door, and there are two-light timber casements. Both the door and the right-hand window have inserted brick cambered lintels, as do the ground-floor openings of the stable. The stable includes a split door, a part slatted window, and a shuttered loft opening.
The 19th-century barn, which is three bays wide, is attached to the house at a right angle and shares the end wall. It has rubble walls with infilled ventilation slits, large opposing double doors, and an iron roof, with a weather-boarded bay at the front. Inside, there is a pegged tie-beam truss with projecting ends and raking braces.
