Description

The Land Ownership Marker Post at Wern Mill is an oval structure made of red and blue brick, designed to revet a pond that receives culverted water from the canal. It features a weir and spillway with a central flume that is controlled by a ratchet paddle, directing water to the turbine race, which culminates in a vertical fall shaft that is 3.6 meters deep, part of the former corn mill. Adjacent to this, there is a subsidiary spillway and a 450-meter long parabolic blue by-pass channel.
