Description

This is a three-storey former shop, dating to the mid to late 19th century. It is built of local brick, with a slate roof and a rectangular brick chimney on the right side. The second floor features a broad sash window with eight panes, without horns. The first floor has a sash window with sixteen panes, set within a voussoir lintel. The ground floor has a shopfront typical of the mid to late 19th century; originally, steps led up to a door on the left, and a large window with rectangular panes to the right, topped with a cornice. A voussoir lintel is visible above the former door/window. A convex grille covers the basement window. To the right, the gable end has a decorative eaves course and a string course. The entrance has a doorcase and a panelled door.
