Description

This cottage, located immediately to the east of Wern School, is a one-and-a-half storey structure with a timber frame and a slate roof. The framing is of varied quality, featuring some re-used timbers arranged in large irregular square panels filled with brick. The walls have been raised, with short panels inserted above the original wallplate. The left gable is rendered and has a lean-to covered with a tin roof. A rubble stone stack is built into the right gable end, topped with brick, and there is a large projecting brick stack set into the front left corner.

The cottage has irregular fenestration, with 19th century and later windows set within the panels, including a tiny single light to the right of the door. The entrance features a plank door with a trellis work porch.

Attached to the right gable is a stone rubble and brick garage, which has an iron roof.
